A One Day Summit to constructively discuss moving forward and implementing the recommendations of this essential report on the future of science in Canada

Symposium chaired by

Dr. Jim Woodgett, Director of Research, Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute and
Dr. Imogen R. Coe, Dean Faculty of Science, Ryerson University

The Naylor report is the first in over 40 years to address the complex ecosystem of support for fundamental research in Canada. This meeting is intended to allow input from a diverse audience of researchers from every career stage (trainees to administrators), from all scientific disciplines. Seating is limited and acceptance will be based upon broad representation. The Naylor panel report contains 35 recommendations and, while commissioned by the Federal government, it will need active participation, and feedback from the scientific community to ensure its uptake by government and support by the public.
